Frequently Asked Questions
Classes & Preparation
-
The Bradley Method focuses on birthing without medication and empowering through information. The curriculum discusses labor interventions and the questions to ask your provider should the need for an intervention arise. The class covers labor and pushing positions with an epidural. C-sections and your options are also discussed. I recommend everyone to take an independent (out of hospital) childbirth class whether they want an epidural or not!
-
Absolutely. The class fee covers the birthing person and one main support partner. We believe birth is a team effort!
I invite any additional support people to attend the labor rehearsal class session.
-
If I know ahead of time that a partner will be absent, I can try to adjust the curriculum to information that focuses on the pregnant person only (for ex. breastfeeding). If I know ahead of time that the couple/registrant will miss class, I can try to adjust the curriculum to information that can be read in the workbook or the student google drive. I can also adjust the class date/time. If a makeup class is needed, the charge is $35 with the purchase of a class series.
-
Please contact me. Class days and times can be flexible. I will try to make the class available to you. If the schedule can't be changed then a private class will be offered.
-
Private lessons are scheduled to the convenience of the instructor and the registrant. Sessions can be scheduled weekly, monthly, or all in one day. We will figure out together what is best.
